I figured I would post and fill you guys in on what happened since August 2004. Really guys, come on now! He's been busy...and getting out there. My sources are - http:www.essentialjustin.com and JMan's, because well, it's every Justin fan's headquarters.

There were a few new pictures around.

and..

the last one is my favorite. Okay!

He did leave 'Good Vibrations' and that would be really effective if I could spell it, I'm sure. But he left the show to move onto "a better offer" is what he said. And I could possibly find the interview and post it later. But- he left the show and was quiet for a while, working in Los Angeles on his jazz cd.

Then came the news Mr.Guarini would be in New Jersey, or actually, he was in Atlantic City.

An independent film titled “Frankie the Squirrel” is currently shooting scenes at the Trump Plaza. The movie stars David Proval (“Mean Streets,” “The Shawshank Redemption”), Abe Vigoda (“Fish,” “The Godfather”) and “American Idol” contestant Justin Guarini (“From Justin to Kelly”). The film also stars Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy, but the “Star Trek” star wasn’t coming to A.C., according to sources.

He spent a few days, the 9th-13th in Jersey, filming his one scene. Here is where I give you the picture from the set and the latest bit of news about the film/tv pilot for the Sci-Fi channel.

Justin plays a character named "Keith," a highroller that "Frankie" (played by writer/producer Sal Mazzotta) encounters at a roulette table in Atlantic City. Frankie is a gambler, down on his luck, who gets some lucky numbers from a mysterious man, played by David Proval ("The Sopranos"). As Frankie and Keith play roulette, Frankie's luck changes. Suddenly, he's winning, he’s on top of the world, and beautiful women (always present at roulette tables) want to be with him. Who is the mysterious man who gave him the numbers and what does he want in exchange??

The show is in the vein of The Twilight Zone, and very Hitchcock-like. Adam West will be the voice of the narrator, taking the place of his good friend Frank Gorshin who passed away. Justin is in one scene but he is considered one of the principals in the episode. They had a blast shooting the scene at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City.

There's no real news about release information. Rumor has it they want to film two other parts. One in Prague, the other in Philly. There's a Might on if Justin will join the cast in Prague or not.

NEXT

Out of nowhere comes talk of his short independant, Tilt-A-Whirl. It's a short film with Chris Klein, Christina Applegate and Jonathan Taylor Thomas to name a few. Justin plays Customer #4, according to http://www.imdb.com

The movie is said to have premiered on May 9, at the Dances with Film Festival.

Last, but not least. He's doing more work with music education and supporting the younger folks. He lent his support during an NAACP leadership summit, a few weeks ago.

NAACP Leadership 500 Summit: According to a press release from the NAACP, Justin attended this summit, along with actors Kerry Washington ("Ray") and Rachel True ("Half and Half"), NAACP Chairman Julian Bond and Harvard Law Professor Charles Ogletree. The summit was held May 26-29th at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Florida. Young adults were invited to the Summit to outline some of the problems facing minorities in the 21st Century. Given Justin's work with the programs to support music education, we are not the least surprised he would be included in this program

And there you have it. You're all up to date.

Justin's new album!

Justin's new album, "Stranger Things Have Happened", was released independently in December 2005, through his own production company and can be purchased at his new official site www.justinguarini.com.

It's fresh takes on jazz standards... and is truly fantastic. It's been receiving great reviews. All Music Guide gave it 3 1/2 out of 4 and complimented his singing and the fresh arrangements calling it "a successful reinvention" and "a setting where his natural talent shines.". IdolWaves said, "Hearing the piano, flute, saxophone, drums and bass from Los Angeles musicians with Justin's peaceful crooning is like a musical massage" and "Many people have pre-conceived opinions on Justin -- as I did -- but I encourage you to give him one more try. You won't be disappointed. Even as I write, I find it hard to believe. But it's definitely true.".

He's also signed with Stilletto Mgmt.
